Information on 2026 Direct School Admission to Chua Chu Kang Secondary School (For admission to Secondary One in 2027)

Introduction

The DSA-Sec Exercise was introduced by the Ministry of Education in 2004. It seeks to promote holistic education and provide students an opportunity to demonstrate a more diverse range of achievements and talents in seeking admission to a secondary school.

When choosing a secondary school, parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the students’ aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.

We would like to invite students with an interest or aptitude in the talent areas stated below seeking admission to our school, to apply through this exercise.

Hockey	Sports and Games (Girls & Boys)	Opportunities to represent school in National School Games (NSG) or other external competitions
Modern Dance	Performing Arts (Girls & Boys)	Opportunities to represent school for Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) or other external competitions/performances
Community Youth Leadership	Leadership and Uniformed Groups (Girls & Boys)	Successful applicants will be part of the Class Committee in their class (Class Leader or Peer Support Leader). They will undergo training and join the Student Council as Junior Councillor in Sec 2 and will be developed to take on other leadership roles such as Student Councillor or CCA Leader by Secondary 3 All successful DSA applicants are given the opportunities to initiate and champion at least one i) service-learning project that impacts the community OR ii) project that impacts the school by the end of the secondary school course
Science for Sustainable Development	Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (Girls & Boys)	- Engage students in a Design Thinking programme and problem-solving projects focused on Sustainability - Take part in Learning Journeys to gain real-world context - Explore opportunities to join Sustainability-related competitions

The selection criteria and process for the talent areas will be updated from early-May.
