Hari Raya Celebrations
A Vibrant Tapestry of Tradition: Celebrating Hari Raya at Our School
This year’s Hari Raya Puasa celebration was a spectacular showcase of community and culture, centered around an exciting assembly program that brought the entire school to its feet.
A Festive Welcome: Teachers Leading the Way
Walking into the school, the festive spirit was immediately palpable. The school foyer had been decorated with the theme - Kampung wonderland. This stunning display—featuring intricate ketupat hangings, vibrant batik fabrics, and informative boards—was the result of the hard work by our dedicated teachers. Their efforts created the perfect backdrop for photos and set a warm, nostalgic tone for the day's events, proving that our educators are as creative as they are instructional.
The Power of Parent Support
While the teachers handled the aesthetics, our parent community provided the backbone of support for the morning’s program. Cheering loudly from the audience, their presence was a vital reminder of the strong partnership between home and school. Their encouragement turned a standard school assembly into a true family affair, filled with smiles and a shared sense of pride.
The Heartbeat of the Assembly: Dikir Barat
The undisputed highlight of the assembly was the spectacular Dikir Barat performance. Our CCKSian troupe took the stage, dressed in stunning, Baju Melayu and samping.
The energy was electric. The Tukang Karang (lead singer) commanded the hall with verses of joy and unity, while the Awak-Awak (chorus) responded with thunderous, rhythmic clapping and perfectly synchronized hand movements. The precision of their performance was a testament to weeks of grueling rehearsals. As the beat accelerated, the entire school joined in, clapping along in a moment of pure, collective harmony. It was a powerful display of Malay cultural heritage that left everyone inspired.
More Than Just a Celebration
The assembly programme also featured cultural performances where performers in their finest Baju Kurung and Baju Melayu, turned the hall into a sea of shimmering silks and intricate patterns.
Beyond the performances and the beautiful decorations, the day carried a deeper meaning. It was a celebration of forgiveness, unity, and the strengthening of bonds. By coming together to witness the talents of our CCKSians and the hard work of our teachers and parents, we did more than just mark a festival—we strengthened the heartbeat of our school community.
The echoes of the Dikir Barat may have faded, but the festive cheer and the spirit of togetherness will certainly carry us through the rest of the school year.
Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir dan Batin!
