The Singapore National Cadet Corps is a world-class organization that nurtures responsible, resilient and resourceful cadets to become successful citizens. We are a thinking and learning team driven by our Core Values.
The NCC (SEA) is an established uniform group in Chua Chu Kang Secondary School. We achieved the Silver award in the Best Unit Competition in 2014. As part of the SAF School Partnership Programme, 28 cadets had the opportunity to sail on RSS Daring and RSS Justice. They were given various roles in the Bridge, such as steering and reporting the range and presence of other vessels. Cadets also got a chance to fire blanks from the carbine (assault rifle) and the general purpose machine gun, weapons which are located on either side of the patrol vessel. Other activities conducted include adventure camps, kayaking training, mountain climbing at Mount Ophir, Annual Kayaking Expedition, Outward Bound (Singapore, Brunei and Sabah), International Sea Cadet Exchange Programme (ISCEP) and Mid Seamanship Training Deployment (MSTD). ISECP offers cadets an opportunity to go to countries like USA, UK, Hong Kong and Australia. Through this, cadets are able to learn about cultures and lifestyles of people from other countries. It also creates a rare chance for cadets to make friends with teenagers from other countries. MSTD offers cadets a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel on a ship and learn about life as a seaman. Through all these fun and challenging military related activities, we aim to develop our cadets to be resourceful, responsible, resilient, loyal leaders and team players.
